Tooling & Assembly
Difficult assignments are our specialty. Intricate shapes, unique sizes and tolerances - any type of non-standard application that requires in-depth engineering expertise represents the norm in our facility. To meet the challenges posed by such projects, we have developed a complete tooling and assembly operation designed specifically to handle your one-of-a-kind fixturing, welding, and part assembly needs.

As befits this type of operation, we do a lot of experimental work and prototype development characterized by extremely tight specifications; and routinely craft up to 18 feet in diameter for large-volume manufacturing runs. When fixturing, we build all individual parts, sometimes as many as 200, which are subsequently assembled into a finished tool. Prior to machining the tool, we fabricate our own weldments. This in-house welding capability allows TM to police the quality of every tool and assembled part we produce.

The progressive nature of our tooling and assembly operation requires proficiency in cutting exotic, tough aerospace materials like inconel, monel, and high-temperature nickel alloys. This, of course, means we can handle the machining of steel and aluminum with ease. As a result, our hand-assembled parts and fixtures wind up in a variety of highly technical end uses; computers, communications equipment, aircraft engines, submarine hardware, turbines and generators, and satellite laser systems, among others.
